Learn to skate

Established in 2011 IceTyme Skating School is located in Alliston, Ontario and serves the surrounding areas including Adjala-Tosorontio, Essa, Innisfil and New Tecumseth.

Our goal is to teach strong skating skills and instill good sportsmanship while having fun in a safe, encouraging environment.

What we offer

Our Programs

The Learn to Skate Program teaches our skaters balance, control and skating skills.

In this program skaters will progress through our 6 levels. Each level introduces new challenges building on what skaters have previously learned.

Skaters will spend each 50 minute session on ice with a certified coach.

The Power Skating Program is designed to improve skating skills for hockey players.

Our program focuses on technique, teaching the proper execution of skills, then incorporating speed. This enables the skater to obtain stability and an efficient use of power.

Skaters will spend each 50 minute session on ice with a certified coach.

The Beginners Program is designed for new members that have never skated before and young skaters who need to build confidence and strength.

In this program we focus on the basics – standing up and skating without any aids. Once our skaters master that we introduce more skills to prepare them for our learn to skate levels.

Skaters will spend each 50 minute session on ice with a certified coach.

The Hockey development & skating program focuses on stick and puck skills as well as skating skills creating proper technique. Most importantly the kids are learning new skills, good sportsmanship and having fun in a positive environment.

This program is designed for skaters 5+ who have previous skating experience. All participants must be able to skate forward, backward and have some concept of stopping. Skaters will be grouped according to ability.

Skaters will spend each 50 minute session on ice with a certified coach.
